My experience in Montana with Yseali 2015

Image
Today, the scenery in the morning is the same as when I first arrived here in Montana. I heard the nice sound of birds singing around my dormitory and I saw a deer in front of my room which I never have seen before in Laos. I am very lucky to be selected to participate in Young Southeast Asean Leaders Initiative  (Yseali) in the United States for 5 weeks. The project is conducted at the University of Montana which is one of the most beautiful and peaceful city I have seen in my life. The most surprising and impressive thing about Montana is the way people love nature and try to protect the environment.  Some kinds of wildlife especially squirrels, deers and birds are commonly seen in the area around the University of Montana. If I am not wrong, people here in Montana are providing rights to these creatures to stay with the human in a harmonised manner. Many cities are facing big issues regarding urban water management, but here in Montana, a natural stream/creek runni...

Chindavone's Thank You Letter to the Australia Awards

Image
I would like thanks to Australia Awards for giving me such a wonderful opportunity to widen my horizon about this world and thanks to Flinders University for accepting me to be a part of the university members. When I was young, my dream was so small, I didn’t know much about the world because I only locked myself in the small town of Phongsaly City, in the northern most part of Laos. At that time, I only hoped that I had enough food to eat and had a peaceful space to live my life without any domestic violates.  But I was fortunate enough to be able to sit in at the National University of Laos studying the environmental management, the major that I myself didn’t know what it was about. The only thing that I knew about was that the environmental major is internationally demanded, which meant I might be able to work with an international organisation. The only hope I had was that the opportunity to work with an international organisation might be translated into a higher am...
